Details
Persol is the symbol of an extraordinary Italian history that began in Turin in 1917, when the optician and photographer Giuseppe Ratti invented the Protector, avant-garde eyewear designed to offer the ultimate in comfort, protection and vision for aviators and sports pilots. The Persol brand - acronym for “for the sun”, immediately forged the identity it has maintained ever since: exceptional quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Arrow is the exclusive hinge decorated with an arrow inspired by the swords of ancient warriors.
Model 649, the brand's first true icon, was designed in 1957.
In the 1960s, Persol glasses appeared in some of the most iconic films of Italian cinema. Style and quality of Persol lenses become famous all over the world.
Even today each model is produced in the historic Turin headquarters.
